For the Love of Art - II

Various selections of paintings, antique jewelry fleur de lis and cross mirrors and painted gourds will grace the meeting room walls at the Franklin County Public Library beginning November 9th.  Franklin County Chancery Clerk, Jill Jordan Gilbert will share her love for painting and art with the public. She began painting to pass the time while sitting on weekends with her grandfather, Frank Allen, in 1989.  Jill began watching Bob Ross paint on PBS and said, “I think I could do that.”  She also gives credit to God for her artistic ability.  Jill is the daughter of talented Frankie Jordan, owner of Frankie’s Flowerland in Bude and the late Milton Jordan of McCall Creek. In addition to painting, Jill enjoys traveling, singing, and spending time with family and friends. She and her husband of 34 years, Kenneth, are members of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, and have two beautiful children, Aimee and Jordan. The public is invited to view Jill’s art on display at the Franklin County Public Library in Meadville throughout the month of November.  Most pieces will be for sale.  Be sure to sign the registration book because Jill will be drawing for door prizes.
