Anding Exhibit at the Library
Flowers out-of-season grace the meeting room walls at the Lincoln County Public Library this November. Jessica Anding shares her love of photography with the public through this mostly floral exhibit.
Originally from Brookhaven, the Anding family moved back to the Homeseeker’s Paradise from New Orleans in 1986. Jessica, daughter of Janice and Nelson Anding, enjoyed small town living with her brother Jason. Graduating from BHS in 1988, Jessica attended Copiah Lincoln Community College and later, USM, before illness caused her to come home.
Ms. Anding received instruction in art from Tom Ross and Janet Smith at Co-Lin. Thereafter, drawing and painting became hobbies. She went on to receive a degree in computer drafting and design from Co-Lin and worked at Logical Link for 2 years.
Advances in computer technology and digital cameras helped fuel Ms. Andings’ interest in photography as a hobby. Nephew, Grayson Anding, and nieces, Marin and Amelia Anding , became favorite subjects of her photos, in addition to outdoor scenes.
Another hobby Ms. Anding enjoys is crocheting. “A blanket I am currently working on will be auctioned at First Baptist Church in Brookhaven to benefit the orphanage, Casa de Fe,” she said.
Ms. Anding is currently working part time at Edward Jones Investment Co.The public is invited to view Ms. Andings’ photography on display at the Lincoln County Public Library in Brookhaven through the month of November.
