Troublemaker by Janet Evanovich, Alex Evanovich and Joelle Jones

I have enjoyed Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum books for years, so when I saw this graphic novel on the new book shelf, I picked it up. Troublemaker is based on the series that Evanovich and her daughter Alex write featuring NASCAR driver Sam Hooker and his mechanic, spotter and girlfriend, Alex Barnaby, aka Barney. This book introduces the characters to the graphics world without going too far into the story.

It is a fun romp with adequate illustrations but weak dialog. The story seems a bit short for the price of the book. Set in Miami, the story features car chases, voodoo, swamps and Hookers "cougar" mother. While entertaining, this little book isn't anything like the laugh out loud Stephanie Plum stories.
