One of the great pleasures of branch visit days is driving through the beautiful south Mississippi countryside. At this time of year, the trip is especially enjoyable because of the beautiful roadside wildflowers. If you are curious about just what those wildflowers are called, we have lots of field guides in the library.

One of the best is Wildflowers of Mississippi by S. Lee Timme. It is well illustrated and easy to use.

Another is Wildflowers of Louisiana by Clair Brown.

A third is East Gulf Coastal Plain Wildflowers by Nelson Gil.
There are many other books about wildflowers, flowers in general and all sorts of horticultural subjects. Stop by your favorite library and browse!
