Museum on Wheels

The Lincoln County Public Library is proud to welcome “Museum on Wheels – A Lesson in Visual Arts” to Brookhaven. Museum on Wheels is a visual arts exhibit with replicas of contemporary and classic artwork. The goal of this exhibit is to bring communities together through the inspirational power of visual art and to serve as an educational tool for local residents and students.
“Even in communities that are rich with cultural organizations, this exhibit provides a free and accessible opportunity for residents to learn about the elements of visual arts and make connections to school curriculum, artistic endeavors and current exhibits in the community,” said Malcolm White, Executive Director of the Mississippi Arts Commission.
The exhibit will run through September and will be viewable during regular library hours.

The Mississippi Arts Commission is a state agency, funded by the Mississippi Legislature, the National Endowment for the Arts, The Wallace Foundation, The Phil Hardin Foundation, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi Foundation, Donna and Jim Barksdale and other private sources. MAC is the official grants-making and service agency for the arts in Mississippi. The agency serves as an active supporter and promoter of arts in community life and in arts education.
